I don’t believe that vets are out to fool people. But I also don’t believe they know everything. No one knows everything. If someone tells you they do, RUN as fast as you can.

I forgot to mention, I bought this at Amazon, which means that GO gets a portion of my purchase price because I used the link on our home page!

There was another similar looking product on there made by Sentry, and I think it was actually a little less expensive but I passed on it because the ingredient list was secret. I pretty much never would put anything in or on my dogs unless I knew EXACTLY what it was.

This was extremely helpful as I have been “dooped” by the vet. I am also not a fan of those hard chemicals or their cost.Not to mention, they don’t cut the mustard! Surprised to read Natures Guardian is by Sergeants. Love the ingredients, can’t wait to get it! Thanks brainiac!

Thanks Jody I forgot to mention blueberries. Probably because they were stolen right off the tree, not passed out in the kitchen! Also good to know re: avocado – as a locavore I tend not to have it around, so have never shared it with the furkids.

My Greys adore green bean ends, strawberries, the crunchy parts of romaine lettuce, cauliflower, watermelon, broccoli, strawberries, and blueberries. They actually come and stand next to me in the kitchen whenever I’m cutting up fruits and veggies! Unfortunately, they have no interest in carrots (although they like treats made with them). A warning about avocado- my previous grey got a tiny amount and that resulted in a visit to the emergency vet with uncontrolled vomiting- I would stay away from them.

Information that could have helped me literally years ago. Definitely needed, straight talk with someone who has nothing to benefit except helping someone. That’s true intent. Not a lot of that around these days. Bravo Michelle, vent that brain so it doesn’t blow!

wow, listen to you write anyone would think you are a professional writer as well. I cannot wait to pick up all the interesting things that you will be writing about. I remember when I finally learnt about actually reading the labels of the food I was buying. Only problem is that since then I agonise for ages over which one to buy. Think I need to go check my labels and ask some more questions….

OOH, OOH, OOH, I have a question. Saturday at the M&G we bought two little bags of biscuits. One grain free for Sylio and one regular. OMG the tab was like $25. So is there a recipe out in the ether for grain free, healthy treats that are easy to make? We don’t use a lot of treats but it helps to get the kids into their crates when we have to leave them alone.
